![]() ![]() First identified by Martin van Bruinessen in 1994, this silsila preserves detailed information about two separate Sunni-orientated Kubrawī lineages attributable to the latter's Central Asian sub-branch, the Hamadānī. This article attempts to rectify that deficiency by reassessing the importance of a Kubrawī silsila (spiritual genealogy) found within the 17th-to early 18th-century Javanese chronicle, Sejarah Banten Ranté-Ranté. Teks Babad Diponegoro dilanjutkan dengan cerita tentang Kyai Zakaria, pengikut Pangeran Diponegoro, yang melarikan diri sampai ke Malang Jawa Timur. Kedua teks tersebut terlihat berlainan, tetapi sesungguhnya teks kedua merupakan suatu pengembangan teks baru dari teks yang sudah ada. Teks Pangeran Diponegoro berkedudukan sebagai latar belakang kisah Pasarean Gunung Kawi karena di dalamnya terdapat tokoh-tokoh dari peristiwa perang Pangeran Diponegoro ketika menghadapi kompeni. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa babad Diponegoro memang tidak secara langsung menceritakan tokoh-tokoh Pasarean Gunung Kawi. Following the narrative of the Chronicle of Diponegoro, there is a story about Kyai Zakaria, a follower of Prince Diponegoro who fled to Malang, East Java. The two texts appear to be different, yet the second is an extension of an existing text. Because there are figures from Prince Diponegoro's war when facing the Company, the text of Prince Diponegoro serves as a background for the story of Pasarean Gunung Kawi. ![]() The findings demonstrate that the Chronicle of Diponegoro does not mention the Pasarean Gunung Kawi figures directly. The study method is based on descriptive qualitative research principles. The object of this study is the Chronicle of Diponegoro and the traditions of Pasarean Gunung Kawi, Malang. The objective of this paper is to comprehend the process of producing texts derived from written texts in the form of chronicles and developing them into oral texts of oral tradition or folklore. ![]()
